What do you usually do when you are stressed physically, mentally and emotionally? Me, I just love to play instrumental music like the saxophones, trumpets, and even love to hear while lying down classical music. I just don't know but I feel relieved and relaxed after hearing those kind of music. This really works for me, so how about you?

Goods.ph works hand-in-hand with the Philippine National Red Cross To Help Victims of Typhoon Yolanda / Haiyan
Misery and desperation are deeply
etched on the faces of the millions of victims of super typhoon Yolanda, not
knowing where to get their next meal or how to rebuild their broken homes and
lives and how to cope with the loss of their loved ones. Chaos is widespread as
the citizenry have nowhere to go for basic services: there is no electricity,
no water services, no communications and worse no local government service to
speak of. The typhoon victims have to literally fend for themselves.
Goods.ph in partnership with the
Philippine National Red Cross, is undertaking a charitable cause that
offers RELIEF GOODS PACKAGE for the typhoon victims that one can avail
for donation purposes. We are encouraging our customers to avail our special RELIEF
GOODS PACKAGE from our site to enable them to donate to the typhoon
victims online. You can also donate even a single bottled water, this is in
align with our motto that everyone can help even in their own little ways. For
fair distribution, we will be forwarding these items to the office of Red
Cross.
Aside from the RELIEF
GOODS PACKAGE that you will buy to donate to typhoon victim, Goods.ph will
also give an amount of 30 pesos for every donation package bought by our
customers to proceed to Red Cross Philippines. In hindsight, this is only the
tip of the iceberg! It will take months if not years to rebuild a province literally
wiped out from the face of the earth. After this transition, the harder part of
constructing homes and infrastructure will be the next phase. This will surely
take years to accomplish not to mention a staggering budget!
The litmus test for the survivors
and Filipinos in general is how well they will cope with the situation since it
will take years to recover from typhoon Yolanda.

Metronome as Defined
To be honest, I don’t know what’s the name and the purpose of this device that I always see being brought by a friend every time they have a music practice in church. Out of my curiosity, I made some research about this….
This is an example of an excellent wittmer mt-50 metronome at musicians friend. It is easy to use, and prominently features a tempo dial that adjusts between 40 to 208 beats per minute. The MT50's speaker produces a loud "tick" sound, which is easier to hear in context than the "beep" produced by most other electronic metronomes. The MT50 also has a flashing LED beat indicator, which can be used for silent practice or along with the speaker for added visual reference.
It’s so clear to me now why they (musicians) always have their metronome with them. :) So, if you don’t want to lose the beat, then get your own Metronome!
Metronome is a handy timekeeper that can lay down a click in style. Along with the standard metronome functions, the Boss DB-60 provides a menu of rhythmic patterns, a note-mixing feature to create rhythms that match the feel and style of your music, and the ability to handle time signatures of up to 17 beats per measure.
By the way, just an info that I’ve got from Mr. Wiki… A metronome is any device that produces regular, metrical ticks (beats, clicks) — settable in beats per minute. These ticks represent a fixed, regular aural pulse; some metronomes also include synchronized visual motion (e.g. pendulum-swing). The metronome is used by musicians to help keep a steady tempo as they play, or to work on issues of irregular timing, or to help internalize a clear sense of timing and tempo. The metronome is also often used by composers as a standard tempo reference, to indicate the intended tempo for the piece.

Music on the Go!
Haven't you noticed that every now and then technologies, gadgets, softwares and etc are arising in the market? I mean, inventions are taking place one after the other. Just like in music industry, they too have are introducing softwares just to make their recording sound like for real or live as they say.
Just like this ableton live 8 at musicians friend, it helps a lot to make a groove patterns which can add life and swing to straight sequences. Its engine lets you apply groove patterns in real time, extract grooves from audio or MIDI sources, and quantize audio and MIDI in real time. Its effect gives you classic sound-on-sound looping without the limitations of a hardware device. So if you want to warp your audio events by adjusting the events themselves on the timeline then own it now. :)
