Preggy Meh Updates: 18 Weeks

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. Year of Abundance

All Christmas items are now up to 75% on SALE! People are still rushing down to the mall because it's not yet too late to share your blessings to your family and friends! We are fortunate enough that I was able to give them their happiness during this season. But to some people they were still hoping that they can get their last payday advances for this year so that they can spend their new years eve with abundance too. DA Christmas Party 2010

What is BROADWAY musical? That's the question that needs an exact answer...:)

Last December 17, 2010, our office held our yearly Christmas party with it's theme BROADWAY... As one of the highlights, they organized a contest by division clustering. Since we knew that it's a Broadway musical theme, we've come up with the Grease Musical. Confident enough that we possessed all the elements that a Broadway must have, we ended up so disappointed with the results coming from the judges. :( (the most controversial Christmas party ever)

Well, I'm not sounding like sour-graping but we want justice!!!! lol...Where in the world have you seen nor heard that Hagibis and Jennifer Lopez's Let's Get Loud have come into Broadway theater/musical? Well, judges decision is always final..as they said...it's "weather, weather lang".

But as of the moment, we've come up with it's new meaning of Broadway...D.A.'s version: Broadway comes from the root word BROAD which means wide-ranging or shall we say OPEN...as in OPEN to all kinds of theme...:) In dialect, it's what we called "LUAG nga DALAN"... laf laf laf

Even though we just received the consolation prize, still we're so proud that we've presented the right theme that were supposed to be presented. :) Anyway, we're still the winners!!! Go Finance, AMAD go!

Want to Have a Better Bathroom?

I usually heard it with other people that they always wanted their bathrooms to be the nicest part in their homes. I totally agree with them! Just recently my sister suggested my parents to have their bathrooms remodeled but due to finances incapacity they just prioritized changing first the bathroom door. Good thing it was already done this time. Hopefully by next year, they will also change the toilet as well as the toilet seat. But as for now, they’ll just settle on what they have.

Since we will start constructing our new house early next year (God-willing), I think would consider it having a nice master bathroom too. Well as of now, I’ll better check nice ideas on what it would look like- good thing I found betterbathrooms.com. Maybe we will be considering a design that would be more of a modern look with of course a tub and a hot and cold showers as per request of my daughter.

Wrap It With Love

Tomorrow would be our Church Christmas party, just this afternoon we were so busy doing some Christmas rush shopping for our gift giving. Actually it really took time for us just to to pick the best gift for our manito and manita. Hubby choose either electronic gadgets or waterproof binoculars while me in a dilemma between apparels from small home fixtures. Of course no problem with my daughter we just went to the toy sections. Now, it's already late in the evening and 'm still wrapping the gifts for tomorrow's event. Guess what, I felt so tired already but still need to finish it all- whew! need more energy but I guess it would be perfect if I would do it with LOVE.

She Got It!

A friend of mine who's based in the western part of the world happened to experience a major and not so major accident in her life. Guess what? So fortunate of her that she got the cheapest car insurance and that she's thankful for estate car insurance that made it possible in less time involved she wanted it. Now, she's confident enough to travel alone because rest assured her car is already insured.

Techie Girl

I’m not really a techie girl but my sister does. My sis keeps on changing her phones every time she feels like changing it. She loves to buy gadgets she likes and if she feels like giving it to us she’ll give it. Guess what? She just bought my sister and dad new cell phones as their Christmas gifts- a Blackberry and Nokia E Series phone. Well, hoping next time she’ll give me one iPhone too.(*-wink-*)

Natural- Born Killers

Another reason to go green: Avocado may wipe out oral cancer. Some researchers applied an avocado extract to both normal and precancerous oral cells. Tapok-Tapok

Last December 4 (Sat) we had our "tapok-tapok" for this year (small gathering) with our barkadas. It has been our group's (college barkadas) practice to celebrate with the group during our birthdays. This time around was Mam Star's belated birthday treat, since her birthday was last October. The only difference we have from this gathering from those previous ones was we have our kids with us already. Two of them just gave birth early January of this year and September for the later.

So sad that we're not complete this time. We miss Ruth and Rogeline!!! Hope next tapok-tapok you can join with us!

My Next Project

My co-office mate who resigned in the office has his own techie business. He just introduces us with his new "cheap gadgets" from Japan. Yeah indeed, so cheap if we compared it with the regular price in the market there is really a big difference. Actually I ordered him a new DSLR Camera which I'm planning to buy as my next project. He offered me for as low as 20K and guess what with a high-end camera with it's complete accessories and that includes that tripod and its cases and etc, I think without a doubt I will get one. Well, he also offers Caméscopes numériques or Digital camcorders if you wish to order. Hopefully by February 2011 I can have it. Wohooo.....

Jolli Kids Club Funday

Last Sunday, my daughter joined for the first time with the "Jollibee Kids Club" with their Pre-Christmas celebration! She was so excited to attend the said event knowing that she would meet her Jolli friends in town.
Actually, I let her join the club so that she will be expose to different people aside from she can gain lots of friends through this club. Indeed, she met already some of my friend's children. You can see how happy she is joining such big event.

On Renewal...

About months ago, mom was so busy doing the errands for the renewal of the franchise and registration of my Uncle's taxi. Good thing she had experienced a smooth sailing processing of all her transactions with the different agencies. From the Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) down to different insurance companies. The best thing among all was she was able to find a cheap car insurance and we thank God for it. Hope to find great deals in the next renewal years!!!

Synthetic vs. Herbal Medicines

Do you believe that there is nothing more irritating to have than a reoccurring cough? Yes I do! Aside from rainy seasons that we’ve experienced and with the amount of pollutants now present in the air, the possible causes of the cough are wide ranging. People are exposed to numerous particles of dust, fumes and germs, pollutants (tobacco smoke, car exhaust fumes and airborne infections), throughout the day. With all of these pollutants, it is a wonder that we are not continually coughing 24 hours a day.

So what would be your best cough medicines? Would you go for synthetic or herbal medicines?

In my case, every time I have to experience cough I’ll just go for water therapy and lemon juice. Why? There’s a problem in me- I hate drinking tablets and capsules because I can hardly swallow it and sometimes I’ll end up vomiting. But if my doctor prescribed me to drink such, I’ll suggest going for syrup like Robitussin. I don’t know if it really works on me, it just give me a relief for a moment.

As a mom, when cough strikes my daughter I’ll go for herbal medicines because synthetic ones doesn’t work at all for her. In our office, we usually share/exchange some ideas on what’s the best med for coughs for their children. Most of them usually go for Ascof Lagundi. Without hesitation I did tried it for my daughter and so true it really works fast. Unlike before, her cough would last for 3 weeks at most but now seldom it will reach for 2 weeks.

So true, advertising plays an important role for audience like us on what to choose for the best medicine coughs. I’ll just smile every time I’ll see ads attacking each other brands claiming that they are the best. Well, only me can tell on which is best for me and for my family!

15th Week Pregnancy

Wow! Can't believe it- I'm on my 15th week now!!!! Thank you Lord..

Baby's development:

Our growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than his arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. If I were to peek inside my uterus during this week, I would still be able to see our baby's blood vessels through his paper-thin skin. This week, our baby will start producing lanugo, which is fine hair that will cover baby's body up until a few weeks before birth. Our baby now might start sucking his thumb.

Maybe by next week, I'll try to have an ultrasound so that we may be able to find out whether our baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.") Hoping for a baby boy this time! *wink*

Busy Mom

Just this morning, mom was so busy that she let my daughter be absent from her class because nobody could attend her to school. Since my younger sister went to the mall with my grandma, they brought my daughter with them so that mom can run the errands. Actually, she was so busy because their house is under renovation and she need to buy all the materials needed. She went to different hardware's just to canvass on some bathroom accessories and etc., I wish we have a Baldwin hardware here in our city. For sure she can get a good deal on what we are looking for.

Christmas is in the Air!

Every time our office mates from other divisions happened to get in our office we will be hearing from them saying this "Christmas is in the Air!". Truly, even us can say it also because of the Christmas decors that we hung around each corners plus the stars that surrounds us made it so unique. Actually, even if it's not Christmas still our office looks so simple yet elegant because of the office décor that were being used. It does not only adds beauty in it but the people itself is already an art!

Four years ago, I gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Danielle. The moment she came into this beautiful world, people do questioned me about her long beautiful lashes. They can't help but asked me where did she get that long natural curly lashes? Well in fact I got a short lashes while her dad got a long one but not as curly as she have. Actually, this is the main reason why I want to have a longer and a fuller natural lashes....

A year ago to be exact, personalized travel mugs were usually wrapped as for exchange gifts. Actually I got one and I know some of my friends who received it too. Well, just last week my daughter received one like what I've got and with the same color. Guess what, I have an office mate who asked me to give her one this Christmas season. Well, I still need to order it online so that I can have it personalize and that she would surely appreciate it.
